Breathing Q: How can I breathing better to reduce stress? I've gotten checked for anything wrong physically and they say its all in my mind and I need to relax...
By award-winning author and stress-relief expert Susie Mantell
Sometimes, consciously just taking time to breathe deeply and fully.....perhaps inhaling soothing white light.........exhaling tension...worry....can remind us to oxygenate fully and just the intake of oxygen slowly and mindfully helps muscles to relax!
Another thought is a great Yoga breathing technique: close your eyes...inhaling through one nostil and exhaling through the other. It's a bit easier if you use a finger to close one nostril while "using" the other....eventually you might not need to.
Below, please find list names of a few of the tips on my website I have offered others with different issues, but the same stress-busters may be very helpful to you in moments you can grab for yourself.
Hope some of these are helpful... (I know these tip titles below don't sound like your situation. Ignore that--but there are MANY stress tips here that have general application and I think some may help.)
